Notre invité d’honneur Jaap Blonk performera ses propres oeuvres musicales et poétiques, ainsi que des poèmes de I.K. Bonset (pseudonyme de Theo Van Doesburg). Ensuite, Rozalie Hirs donnera une lecture performative de ses poèmes en néerlandais, en alternance avec Kim Andringa qui lira ses traductions françaises. You are cordially invited to our next afternoon salon at Van Doesburg House ‘Open Saturday III – Poetry’ on Saturday 5 October 2019 at 16:00 CET. Guest-of-honour Jaap Blonk performs his own musical and poetic works, as well as poems by I.K. Bonset (pseudonym of Theo Van Doesburg). In addition, Rozalie Hirs performs her poems in Dutch, interlaced with Kim Andringa’s reading of her French translations. The event is closed by Daniel Cunin with the lecture Coups de cœur et coups de foudre selon Theo van Doesburg, interlaced with a reading of his French translations. Afterwards we serve a glass of wine.

In addition Atangana Bekono, Hirs, Knibbe and their translators Kim Andringa and Jan Mysjkin also read their poems in Dutch and French. dreams of airs (2017-18)

Dreams of Airs (2017-18) is a cycle of poetry and music by Rozalie Hirs. Its sound world features eight musicians, a singer who speaks, and electronic sounds. The new full-length composition by the Netherlands-based composer/ poet Rozalie Hirs offers a unique listening experience. The listener is guided through mesmerizing accelerandos and rallentandos in a lounge-like environment. The combination of spoken word, music, and visuals serves to stimulate various senses at once. The visual artists Boris Tellegen and Geert Jan Mulder designed a live video installation for the performance. The duration of the performance is around 60 minutes.
