On 1 December 2019 at 13:30 CET, bass clarinettist-at-large Fie Schouten performs during MicroFest Amsterdam 2019, a one-day festival for microtonal music at Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Her program clarinets in space includes article 7 [ways to climb a mountain] for bass clarinet and electronic sounds (2012) by Rozalie Hirs.

The festival is curated by the Huygens-Fokker Foundation (artistic director: Sander Germanus). Composers featured during the festival are Henk Badings, Fabio Costa, Jan van Dijk, Sebastian Dumitrescu, Matthias Kadar, Juhani Nuorvala, Harry Partch, Joachim F.W.
